I haven’t been posting like I originally anticipated and hoped, because this last semester of mine has been CRAZY! With the passing of each day, I am amazed (and also scared) of how fast each day flies by, mostly because I still have so much to get done before graduation. Agh!
As you may have read in my last current state post, back in February, I was debating between two cameras to start a vlog with. Well, I recently purchased a Canon t6i and I’m super excited about it; however, I am also frustrated because I am not able to really use it at my campus’ gym- they have a strict policy about filming where you have to get permission. It would have been perfect had I purchased this baby months ago, when I was still going to Gold’s (R.I.P.). If this was a smaller, less conspicuous camera it wouldn’t be as much of a problem, and I might be able to get away with it more, but I am hesitant to use it during certain times, because I don’t want to get kicked out of our gym.
Anyways, back to the main point of this post. Around 128/129 lbs still. I have started to implement more cardio, about 3-4 times a week, for 10-20 minutes at the conclusion of my workout. At LU, we have a self-propelled treadmill, called the Curve, that I enjoy using. It doesn’t hurt my foot as much as pushing myself up the stair stepper does, because of, well, the curve in the Curve haha, (I’m still dealing with issues of sesamoiditis). I am not sure how accurate their calorie tracker is, but I do work up a sweat and I am already seeing a difference from the cardio- more definition and it’s getting me excited! One of the best feelings from fitness is when you start to see the changes in your body that you want- getting closer to your goals. It’s so rewarding and self motivating!
I am on the fence about doing a competition this summer. Doing a bikini or figure competition is something that I have wanted to do since I started lifting a couple years ago- to gain that experience and challenge myself. The main reason I am hesitant in committing to doing a show is because I don’t know where or what I will be doing this summer- whether I will be in the midst of completing an internship or actually beginning a career. Only time will tell I suppose.
