Trying to Loose Weight?

Trying to loose weight can be frustrating. You change the way you eat and spend an hour or more on the treadmill several times a week, but feel like you aren’t seeing the immediate results that you so desperately want.

There are countless fads that promise you can loose this many pounds in this short amount of time, but the truth is they don’t leave you with long-lasting results. Not to mention loosing a drastic amount of weight in a short period of time is not healthy for your body. Studies have shown that you are more likely to gain back double of what you have lost if you loose weight in a drastic amount of time.

The key to effective and lasting weight loss takes time. It doesn’t happen in a week, or two weeks. Weight loss should be a steady decline over a period of months if you want to keep the weight off.

So how do you loose weight in a healthy fashion? Diet. By diet I do not mean a temporary change in what you eat. I mean diet as what you eat overall. Your nutrition. A healthy diet is not a fad, it’s a lifestyle. It’s important to know what your caloric intake should be- how much protein, carbs, fats, etc., your body requires. There are many free applications that can help aide you in this. My personal favorite is MyFitnessPal. It’s free and simple to use.
