Top three things that will make your life better, in and out of the gym. Let’s check ’em out-
Gone are those annoying days of dealing with an arm band that you have to constantly adjust; hello freedom! This little gadget makes lifting more carefree.
Strap it around your waist, spin it around, and you are good to go! I’ve had mine for about 2 years now and am still very happy with it today. The Amphipod fits an iPhone 6 with a case just fine, and should fit even an iPhone 6+ (without case). If you’re tired of dealing with an arm band, or stuffing your phone in your bra or pants, try this.
2. Food Scale
Tracking your macros is important for weight loss or muscle-building goals; but did you know that you may be under or over serving yourself when measuring in cups?
For example, I measured one serving (supposedly 40g, 1/2 cup) of dry oats with a 1/2 measuring cup. I then weighed the same amount and it was actually 48g. Now, an extra 8g may not sound like a huge deal — but if you are trying to track your macros precisely, you may actually be taking in too much or too less unknowingly, every time you are measuring in cups; which could be a reason you are not seeing as much progress in your goals as desired. Therefore, switch to a food scale for more accurate measurements.
Food scales are available for under $20 at your nearest Walmart, Target, etc. You can even get one off Amazon rather cheap. Get yourself a food scale and you will see the difference.
Ever since I started incorporating more band work into my workouts, I have seen a rise in progress in my glutes.
Remember that your muscles grow/develop under two ways: heavy weight and contraction. With bands, you get added contraction; whether you use them with weight (ex. hip thrusts, squats), or alone (ex. crab walks, lateral walks (shown above)).
You can also find resistance bands — usually sold in a pack of three — from Walmart, Target, or Amazon.
