Most of us have been told since we were young that “you can do anything you put your mind to.” Now that may or may not apply to almost everything- there are some things that are honestly out of our control. However, in fitness, unless you have a health condition, or even with certain conditions, you can achieve anything you put your mind to.
The key phrase here is mind to. The question isn’t about physical ability. You can. You are able to, no question. The main challenge however, is the mental strength and “heart” to keep pushing yourself forward- towards your goals.
Fitness requires determination, so much so, that you almost have to become obsessed with it. Fitness requires sacrifice. You have to do things you don’t always want to do; whether that be certain exercises, cardio, and/or removing/adding things to your diet. It’s not always a joyous walk in the park.
C.T. Fletcher is a perfect example of determination, mental strength, and heart. The guy is crazy. And big. AND lean. One of my favorite videos of his is the 10 Commandments of Muscle Growth. If you know who C.T. is, you know he curses a lot, so heads up.
Nonetheless, getting a lean, sculpted body that you have always wanted is attainable- over time. So many people, especially girls, look at fitness models like Michelle Lewin on IG and say to themselves, “OMG I want that. She has the perfect body.” Yet, people are not willing to put in the hard work and make sincere changes to their diet. Furthermore, they don’t stick to it- they give up after a couple months, or even weeks. You think people like Michelle achieved that beautiful physique in a couple months? Heck no! That took them YEARS!
Don’t give up! Give it all that you have in every aspect, and after time, you will grow closer and closer to your dreams.

Now look, Ima old and don’t know anything about fashion . . . but how can the same pants be in fashion five years later?!?😉
But you are so right. Having goals and mapping out what it takes to attain them. And on a regular basis, reevaluating your goals and reviewing your progress is so important.
But not everything is possible. Me, pregnant, that’s impossible. Just sayin’😉
Rock On!!
