Fitness meets fashion with these sexy, luxurious, athletic leggings! This comprehensive review covers how Bombshell Sportswear’s Thigh-High Sock Leggings™ look, feel, perform, and ship, along with some pros and cons, so you can decide whether or not to add them to your gym wardrobe.
Bombshell Sportswear’s Thigh High Sock Leggings™ look, well, BOMB!
I instantly fell in love with the “sock-like” look, and even more so with the recently released ‘Silver‘ color. The mesh material from the thigh down provides a nice contrast in texture and appearance, and also aides in breathability.
I was a bit worried before receiving these leggings that the material would not be of good quality–but was reassured when I ripped open the package. The main material (surrounding the bum and upper thighs) has a soft, silky, yet athletic feel, that stretches and compliments your body, like a second skin. Very comfortable to wear both in or out of the gym!
- Fabric(s) Body: 89% Polyester + 11% Spandex
- Contrast Socks: 94% Micro Poly + 6% Spandex
- Sock Stripes: 90% Nylon + 10% Spandex
When it came to ordering these leggings, I debated back and forth on sizing–eventually messaging a few gals on the ‘gram to see what sizes they were wearing, so I could use that as a reference. I ended up choosing size “Small,” and am glad I did because it was nearly perfect for me.
As stated above, the main material really is quite stretchy; so whether you’re short or tall, curvy or slim, these leggings should be able to adapt to your figure; I recommend ordering the same size you typically wear in leggings, or, one size lower if you want a much tighter waistband (explained below).
Bombshell Sportswear’s Thigh High Sock Leggings™ allow you to move about freely while working out–not over-compressing your legs or bum like some leggings do. However, the waistband on these leggings could be tighter; I find myself pulling them up several times in the gym–especially after doing squats. Check ’em out in action:

So are the Thigh High Sock Leggings™ worth it?
These are the most expensive gym leggings I have purchased to date. Similarly to Celestial Bodiez, you are paying more for the leggings because they are cute and unique to the company. While I do really love the way Bombshell Sportswear’s Thigh High Sock Leggings™ look and feel — nearly $100 bucks is obviously quiet a lot. Furthermore, I am unable to comment on the longevity of these leggings at the moment, but will update this post after several sweaty sessions of training in them.
*** update after 5+ months of wear ***
Leggings have held up pretty well! Some of the stitching around the white leg stripes has loosened and there are a few snags in the material (from pulling up material while having long nails).
Here are some tips to preserve the longevity of these leggings:
- Avoid wearing when doing exercises that may involve increased friction (i.e. deadlifts, running, etc.)
- Do not put in dryer. Allow to air dry instead.
- Pull up material with side of finger tips, rather than with nail — especially if you have acrylic nails.
Overall, I give these leggings a 9/10. While they are pricy, I do enjoy them very much, and would recommend these gorgeous leggings if you have extra bucks to spare!
